I am an artist and researcher working with digital image-making to explore personal and large-scale catastrophes. Coming from Russia, I became attuned to a persistent sense of apocalyptic anxiety, shaped not only by wars but also by technological developments that unsettle what it means to be human. My practice draws on ethically and socially charged material sourced through public contributions or appropriated from online platforms. I edit, recontextualize, and bring these fragments into relation, mostly through AI-generative processes, to reflect on how shifting human and technological agencies produce new ethical tensions. Although I use a range of digital technics, my focus remains on the human presence embedded within the systems I use. I approach AI not as a tool for automation but as a site where human affect and cognition are actively shaped.
Recent works take the form of multimedia installations that situate the viewer within the entangled emotional and cognitive environments I navigate.
